Training in Pek Kwar Kung Fu with 2nd Generation Senior Disciple LIN Shiu Fan of the Tai Sing Pek Kwar School , Hong Kong (1959-1961). Awarded the title of Honorary President of the Tai Shing Pek Kwar Martial Arts Association by Grandmaster CHAN Sau Chung (1990).
Training in White Crane Kung Fu with Grandmaster CHAN Ke Fu (1959-1961). Became formal disciple and received Certificate of Graduation from Grandmaster LUK Chi Fu of the Pak Hok Pai - Luk Chi Fu Kung Fu Research Institute (1990). Advanced training in soft-style “Needles in Cotton” at the White Crane Kung Fu International in New York City (1991 –1993).
Training in the internal/soft Kung Fu styles of Tai Chi, Hsin I, Baqua, and the Southern Sung Tai Tsu Emperor Qigong Kung Fu at the Chinese Martial Arts Training Center in Taiwan (1988-1990). Became “In-House Disciple” and awarded the highest degree black belt of the Center by Master CHAN Sui Tsai (1990).
Training in basic Wing Chun Kung Fu with students of Master WONG Shun Leung, Hong Kong (1959-1961). Comprehensive training in Wing Chun Kung Fu, weapons, and wooden dummy forms at the Wing Chung Kung Fu Academy of Maryland (1987-1994) and awarded the 9th level Gold Sash by Sifu John Clayton (1991), with whom he co-founded the Johns Hopkins Kung Fu Club (1988). Advanced training with Grandmaster William Cheung of the World Wing Chun Kung Fu Association in Dim Mak (Acupoint Attack) and Qigong techniques (1994).
